MAHATMA GANDHI
Path of Mahatma's
A reformer par extraordinaire, Gandhiji taught the word once again what it had forgotten. He led the world on the path on which the apostles of peace had once exhorted mankind to tread, truth and non-violence. It is thus no exaggeration that he is among the messiahs of today, our man of the century.
FATHER OF THE NATION
Gandhi
Affectionately called Mahatma Gandhi, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was, and is, a major figure in the history of India and the world. Born in Gujarat in the later part of the nineteenth century, his creed of non-violence struggle or ‘ahimsa’ and ‘satyagraha’ shaped the way India fought for its independence. In fact, these are among the major cornerstones on which modern India stands.

MAHATMA GANDHI

“Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth” - Albert Einstein

By introducing the loom in a big way, he expressed the thought that economic independence at the grassroots level is imperative for the development of mankind. The ‘charkha’ became a symbol of economic independence and total freedom of mankind. This concept of grassroots entrepreneurship was adopted by the entire nation, and helped in reviving the slowly decaying handicraft industry across the country.
